Chef Lecturer
Basic Job Description
*September 2026 start date for the new academic year
*Full time (37.5 hours per week)
*Estimated contract length to be 2 months for a member of staff having operation
*Teaching level 2 and 3 in professional cookery and culinary skills
*£30-37 pound per hour
*FE College in Greater Manchester
*Must have DBS on the update service
*Must have Professional cookery or culinary skills or equivalent level 2 and 3 qualifcations
*Must have a teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGCE, CERT ED, QTS etc to level 5
*Looking for a back of house, kitchen experience, not front of house hospitality
Responsibilities of this role as a Chef Lecturer:
*Working in the Catering and Hospitality Department, you will be working with a variety of learners and be expected to meet the College’s standards of work
*Providing additional tutorial and pastoral support to students across the College as required
*Delivering BTEC professional cookery and culinary skills to level 2 and 3
Requirements of this role as a Chef Lecturer:
*A UK recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent is essential
*Experience of delivering the subject.
*Professional cookery or culinary skills or similar related qualifications is essential
*A current DBS on the update service
