We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established financial services organisation seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead its Preston branch.
This is an opportunity for an established people leader with a background working within an FCA regulated environment who enjoys developing teams, building strong customer relationships and representing a respected brand within the local community.
This role is centred around leadership, service excellence and operational performance rather than sales targets.
The RoleAs Branch Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the branch, ensuring exceptional customer service, regulatory compliance and a positive, high-performing team culture.
You’ll also play an active role within the local community, developing relationships that enhance the organisation’s presence and reputation.
Key Responsibilities*Lead, coach and develop a small branch team to achieve outstanding customer outcomes.
*Ensure the branch operates in line with FCA regulations, internal controls and compliance standards.
*Maintain high levels of customer service, ensuring fair outcomes for every customer.
*Handle escalated customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
*Support the team during busy periods, leading from the front.
*Build strong relationships with local businesses, schools, charities and community groups.
*Represent the organisation at networking events, careers fairs and community initiatives.
*Monitor branch performance and continuously identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
About YouTo be successful, you’ll have:
*Previous experience managing and developing a customer-facing team.
*Experience working within an FCA regulated financial services environment (essential).
*A strong understanding of regulatory compliance, customer outcomes and risk management.
*Excellent leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate others.
*Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
*A proactive, organised and professional approach to problem solving.
*A minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
*A leadership or management qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
