Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are seeking an experienced Flatbed Driver to join our clients team based in Fareham.
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a flatbed lorry. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.
*NEEDED FROM WEDNESDAY 8TH JULY TO FRIDAY 24TH JULY*
Monday to Friday from 07:30 - 17:00 (42.50 hours per week)
£13.77
*Operate a flatbed lorry to transport goods to various locations safely and efficiently.
*Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
*Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
*Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
*Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
*Completing a maximum of 10 drops per day (on average 6-8)
QUALIFICATIONS
*Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
*Proven experience as a delivery driver and or in a similar role is preferred.
*Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving heavy vehicles.
*Ability to operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently, must have knowledge to secure loads.
