Full job descriptionRecruitment Assistant – Southampton
Location: Southampton, SO14 (Hybrid working 1-2 days in office per week).
Salary: £14.92 per hour.
Full Time – Monday to Friday – 37 hours.
Contract: Up to 9th October 2026 – possibly beyond.
We are seeking two Recruitment & HR Administration Assistants to join our busy Council HR team on a 3-month fixed-term basis, with an immediate start.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will provide essential administrative support throughout the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for candidates and hiring managers. You will manage a range of recruitment administration tasks, maintain accurate records, coordinate interviews, prepare onboarding documentation, and respond to queries in a timely manner.
Previous recruitment experience is desirable, whether gained within a wider HR role, an in-house recruitment team, or a recruitment agency. You will have excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and thrive in a busy team environment.
