A leading UK supplier of commercial catering equipment is looking to recruit a skilled Workshop Engineer to join its growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with experience working on commercial kitchen equipment who enjoys fault-finding, refurbishment, and delivering high-quality workmanship within a busy workshop environment.
The Role
As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, repair, and refurbishment of commercial combi ovens and catering equipment. Working alongside a knowledgeable team of engineers, you will ensure equipment is restored to the highest standards and prepared for resale.
This is a workshop-based position, offering a stable working environment with no field service or customer site visits required.
Key Responsibilities
*Diagnose, service, repair, and refurbish commercial combi ovens and catering equipment.
*Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
*Ensure all equipment is tested and prepared to company quality standards before resale.
*Maintain accurate service records and asset information using internal systems.
*Monitor and manage spare parts stock levels within the workshop and warehouse.
*Collaborate with colleagues across engineering, operations, and administration teams to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
*Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient workshop environment.
Skills & Experience Required
*Proven experience servicing and repairing commercial combi ovens.
*Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with both electrical and mechanical systems.
*Experience working with Rational equipment is highly desirable.
*Knowledge of Electrolux, Convotherm, Bonnet, or Eloma equipment would be advantageous.
*Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively in a fast-paced environment.
*Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
*Good communication and organisational skills.

Additional Requirements
