Full job descriptionPublic Procurement Solicitor
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a public procurement Solicitor to join a growing commercial team advising on a broad range of non-contentious procurement matters, based in Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen. This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced colleagues, develop specialist expertise and gain exposure to a varied client base across both the public and private sectors.
The Role
You will advise clients on a range of procurement matters, supporting them throughout the procurement process and providing practical, commercially focused legal advice.


Responsibilities will include:
*Advising on procurement strategy, contract awards, contract variations and regulatory compliance
*Drafting and reviewing procurement documentation and related contractual agreements
*Supporting clients through procurement exercises and helping to identify and resolve legal and commercial issues
*Advising clients throughout tender processes and assisting with procurement-related queries
*Working alongside colleagues on a variety of commercial projects where procurement expertise is required
*Building and maintaining strong client relationships while contributing to business development initiatives where appropriate
About You
You will be a qualified Solicitor with approximately 1-5 years’ PQE and experience of, or a genuine interest in, procurement law.


You should also have:
*Strong drafting, analytical and legal research skills
*Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
*A commercial, pragmatic approach to delivering advice
*The ability to manage your own workload while working collaboratively as part of a team
*A proactive attitude and a genuine desire to develop your technical expertise
