Description
*Support the People Manager in providing advice and guidance to managers on the effective implementation of people policies and procedures throughout the employee lifecycle.
*Manage low-level employee relations matters, escalating complex cases to the People and Culture Manager where appropriate.
*Prepare and issue HR documentation, including employment contracts, invitation letters, and outcome letters, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
*Provide confidential administrative support to HR processes, including taking accurate notes during team meetings, investigations, disciplinary hearings, and appeals.
*Support managers with recruitment activities, including coordinating recruitment campaigns and selection processes.
*Provide first-line advice and guidance to colleagues on HR policies, procedures, and people-related queries, promoting best practice and consistency.
Profile
A successful People Officer should have:
*A solid foundation in human resources practices, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
*Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
*Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*An ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small-sized team.
