Full job descriptionWe are currently recruiting for a Night Porter at one of our prestigious hotel clients that specialise in weddings and events.
Job description
To be the responsible person between 12:00am and 08:00am, maintaining all operational needs throughout the night whilst safeguarding the security of the venue and all its occupants, with a full awareness of health and safety procedures.
*To clean and set up the venue to basic standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Ensuring that function rooms are cleaned and prepared for the following function which involves moving and lifting furniture and equipment.
*Ensuring all public areas (internal and external) are clear of rubbish, debris and cigarette ends to provide a high guest experience.
*To respond to guest issues as needed and appropriate, in person and via telephone.
*To control access to the building and other areas from 12:00am to 08:00am on event days (with overnight accommodation).
*To patrol all areas of the venue on foot to guard against theft, vandalism and fire.Locking and unlocking all the main access doors to the building.
*Recording and reporting breakdowns and maintenance issues in the relevant folder.
*Reacting to incidents and emergencies and recording in detail.
*To be aware of fire and health and safety policy and procedures and ensure safe evacuation of the venue in the event of a fire, liaise with emergency services where required.
*To be a qualified First Aider and to administer first aid as and when required.
*To report any set up that is not fully complete to the maintenance team during the morning handover period.
*Adhoc maintenance of the venue including, but not limited to, painting and minor repairs.
*To carry out any reasonable task that may be required by management.
