We are seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Headteacher - Pastoral to play a key role in leading behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and student welfare across our school.
This is an exciting opportunity for an established leader to join a committed senior leadership team and make a meaningful impact on outcomes for students with additional needs.
The Role
You will work closely with the Headteacher to lead the pastoral strategy and day-to-day running of the school, ensuring high standards of behaviour, attendance and safeguarding.
*Leading on attendance, behaviour and pastoral support across the school
*Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead and promoting student welfare
*Supporting the strategic leadership and development of the school
*Managing and developing staff, including performance and CPD
*Driving high standards of pupil behaviour, engagement and outcomes
*Using data to monitor performance and inform improvement strategies
*Supporting day-to-day leadership and deputising where required
About You
We are looking for a confident and resilient leader who can inspire staff and drive positive change.
You will have:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Proven leadership experience within a school setting
*A strong track record of improving behaviour, attendance and pastoral provision
*Experience within a SEN/SEMH environment (desirable)
*Excellent understanding of safeguarding and statutory requirements
