Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are looking for an ambitious and motivated Paralegal to join our expanding Legal team within a modern, progressive company. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and career-focused individual to play a key role in the continued growth of the business while developing their own career.
The ideal candidate:*The successful candidate will be organised, detail-focused and confident working both independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
*Ideally, you will have at least 2 years’ experience in residential conveyancing and be confident supporting matters through to completion.
*A law degree, paralegal qualification or relevant legal experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Your duties:*Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from file opening through to completion, including purchases, sales, remortgages, probate sales, transfers and redemptions
*Handle client enquiries, liaise with all parties and provide clear, proactive updates throughout each transaction
*Prepare and issue contract packs, property reports and supporting legal documentation
*Raise, review and respond to enquiries accurately and efficiently
*Manage the receipt and arrangement of funds in accordance with firm procedures
*Prepare and submit Land Registry applications and deal with requisitions
*Prepare SDLT submissions and carry out post-completion matters
*Support leasehold and new build transactions where required
*Use Leap Legal Software where appropriate; previous experience would be beneficial but is not essential
