The Role
Working closely with Audit Seniors, Managers and Partners, you’ll play an important role in delivering high-quality audit and accounting services to a varied client base.
Responsibilities will include:
*Assisting with statutory audits from planning through to completion
*Preparing audit files and supporting audit fieldwork
*Completing substantive testing and audit documentation
*Preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients
*Assisting with corporation tax computations where required
*Working directly with clients and developing strong professional relationships
*Identifying areas for improvement and adding value throughout the audit process
*Supporting and mentoring trainees where appropriate
*Working closely with senior members of the team to develop your technical knowledge
The successful candidate will ideally have:
*ACA or ACCA part-qualified (or AAT qualified with audit experience)
*Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice
*Experience assisting on statutory audits
*Good understanding of UK accounting standards
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
*Excellent organisation and attention to detail
*The ambition to continue progressing towards professional qualification
