This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, forward-thinking accountancy and business advisory firm that works closely with owner-managed businesses across a wide range of sectors.

As an Accounts Advisor, you’ll become a trusted point of contact for clients, helping them understand their finances and supporting better business decisions.

The Role
Working alongside Managers, Associates and Directors, you’ll manage a varied portfolio of clients while supporting the wider Accounts team.
Responsibilities will include:
*Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
*Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
*Producing management accounts and financial reports
*Preparing and submitting VAT returns using cloud accounting software
*Supporting clients with bookkeeping and digital accounting solutions
*Assisting on audit assignments where required
*Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted adviser
*Reviewing work prepared by junior team members
*Mentoring and supporting trainees and junior colleagues
*Identifying tax planning and business advisory opportunities
*Working closely with senior leadership to deliver an exceptional client experience
This is a broad role combining accounts preparation, advisory work, cloud accounting and client relationship management.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
*ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified (or studying towards qualification)
*Experience gained within UK accountancy practice
*Strong knowledge of statutory accounts preparation
*Experience preparing corporation tax and VAT returns
*Good working knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero
*Excellent communication and client-facing skills
*Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
*A proactive approach with a genuine interest in helping clients succeed
