The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive HR Assistant to join a busy HR team during a period of growth and increased activity. Supporting the HR and Training function, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of day-to-day HR administration across the full employee lifecycle.
This is a varied position where no two days are the same. You will be supporting a high volume of HR activity, including onboarding new starters, maintaining employee records, responding to HR queries and supporting wider HR projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with the HR team and help deliver a timely, efficient and professional HR service across the business. With a significant number of new starters joining the organisation, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring new employees receive a positive onboarding experience while helping the wider HR team manage a busy and fast-paced workload.
Key Responsibilities
*Provide comprehensive HR administration support across the employee lifecycle
*Maintain accurate employee records and update the HR information system
*Assist with recruitment administration, including vacancy advertising and interview coordination
*Prepare contracts, offer documentation and onboarding paperwork
*Coordinate inductions and support new starters throughout their probationary period
*Support payroll administration and employee benefits processes
*Act as a first point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers
*Assist with absence management administration and employee relations matters
*Produce HR reports and management information
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
*Experienced in an HR support role
*Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
*Confident managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
*Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information
*Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
*A strong communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
*Ideally qualified to CIPD Level 3 (or working towards), although this is not essential
