Job Description:
Full job descriptionOur client Wigan Council is looking for a Family Help Deputy Manager to join their family help team.
There will be two deputy managers supervising around 6 family help workers each, supervised by a practise manager.
*Support the Practice Manager in leading and developing Family Help services.
*Provide whole family supervision, coaching, and guidance to Family Help Practitioners.
*Oversee complex cases and support effective decision-making to improve outcomes for children and families.
*Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, assessed, and managed appropriately.
*Monitor the quality of assessments, plans, and interventions to ensure high standards of practice.
*Promote strengths-based, relationship-focused, and child-centred approaches.
*Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including schools, health services, police, and voluntary organisations.
*Support workload management, case allocation, and performance monitoring.
*Contribute to quality assurance activities, audits, and service improvement initiatives.
*Assist with staff development, recruitment, and performance management.
*Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
*Deputise for the Practice Manager and provide operational leadership when required.
