Agility Resourcing are recruiting for an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to join a well-established organisation located just outside Kendal. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong purchase ledger and finance administration experience who is looking for a varied and rewarding role with real responsibility.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, as Senior Accounts Assistant you’ll play a key role in supporting the finance function by producing accurate financial information, overseeing purchase ledger activities and helping to improve financial processes across the business.
Key Responsibilities
*Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts and financial reporting.
*Investigating budget variances and supporting forecasting activities.
*Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and monthly journals.
*Overseeing the day-to-day purchase ledger function, ensuring accuracy and strong financial controls.
*Supporting payment runs and maintaining supplier relationships.
*Managing utility expenditure, budgets and forecasting.
*Assisting with property finance administration, including rent payments and records.
*Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and drive efficiencies.
About You The Senior Accounts Assistant will have
*Previous experience as a Senior Accounts Assistant, Finance Officer, Assistant Accountant or Management Accounts Assistant.
*AAT Qualified
*Strong knowledge of purchase ledger, reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
*Experience assisting with management accounts and financial reporting.
*Excellent Excel and IT skills.
*Strong analytical ability with exceptional attention to detail.
*A proactive approach and the confidence to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
