We are looking for a proactive and positive SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs in a welcoming Plymouth school.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with pupils who need extra support to succeed in the classroom. You’ll help build confidence, encourage positive behaviour, and support students in overcoming barriers to learning.
No teaching experience is required – just the right attitude, patience, and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
*Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
*Build positive relationships and become a trusted role model
*Support children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs
*Encourage engagement, resilience, and independence
*Assist teachers in creating a positive learning environment
*Help pupils develop social and emotional skills
Ideal Backgrounds
