The RoleReporting into the Finance Director, we are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Manager to lead and develop the Group’s transactional finance function.
Managing a team of three, you will take ownership of both the sales and purchase ledger functions, ensuring robust financial controls, efficient processes and excellent stakeholder service across the business.
This is a hands-on leadership role that will suit someone who enjoys improving processes, developing people and working within a growing private equity-backed environment.
Key Responsibilities*Lead, mentor and develop a team of three transactional finance professionals.
*Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
*Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections and supplier payments.
*Manage cash allocation, credit control and aged debtor reporting.
*Monitor supplier relationships and payment processes.
*Drive continuous improvement across transactional finance processes and controls.
*Support month-end close activities, reconciliations and reporting.
*Work closely with internal departments to resolve queries and improve efficiency.
*Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.
About YouWe’re looking for an experienced transactional finance professional who combines strong operational expertise with the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.You’ll ideally have:

*Previous experience managing both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions within a fast-paced B2B environment.
*Experience working with customers across sectors such as leisure, hospitality, healthcare, facilities management, distribution or other service-led, multi-site industries would be useful.
*A strong understanding of high-volume transactional finance, including credit control, supplier management, cash allocation and payment processes.
*Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing transactional finance teams.
*Excellent knowledge of financial controls and process improvement, with a continuous improvement mindset.
*Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across finance, operations, customers and suppliers.
*Previous experience within a distribution, engineering, service or product-based business would be advantageous.
*Experience working within a growing or private equity-backed business would be beneficial, although not essential.
