*Location: Wyre Primary School
*Start Date: 1st September 2026
*Contract: Autumn Term (initially)
*Hours: 8:45am – 3:25pm, Monday to Friday
*Working Pattern: Term Time Only
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our nursery setting, supporting children aged 2 years old and Pre-School age. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurturing individual who is passionate about early years education and committed to helping young children thrive in a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 2–4 years.
*Assist the class teacher and nursery staff in delivering engaging early years activities.
*Encourage children’s social, emotional, and educational development through play-based learning.
*Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
*Support children with personal care needs where required.
*Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
*Observe and report on children’s progress and achievements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
*Experience working within an Early Years, Nursery, or Pre-School setting.
*A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young children.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
