Full job descriptionSupport Worker – Veterans - Complex Needs
Location: Honiton (supporting customers across Honiton & Exeter)
Pay:£15.34 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract: 3-Month Temporary Assignment (to October 2026)
Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, with 1 Saturday in every 6
Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives?
We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting veterans and individuals who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping people with complex needs move towards independent living.
What you’ll be doing:
*Managing a small caseload of 5–8 customers, allowing you to provide high-quality, person-centred support.
*Developing, reviewing and updating support plans and risk assessments.
*Supporting people with complex needs, including mental health, substance misuse and housing-related issues.
*Working closely with external agencies, landlords, healthcare professionals and support services.
*Promoting independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes for every individual you support.
*Maintaining accurate records and contributing to safeguarding and risk management processes.
We’re looking for someone with:
*Experience supporting vulnerable adults or people with complex needs.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*The ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
*Confidence managing challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
*Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
*Knowledge of housing-related support and safeguarding practices (desirable).
*NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (desirable).
Enhanced DBS required.
