Full job descriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Accounts Assistant based in Biggleswade for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.
Summary of the Accounts Assistant role
Salary: £33,000 - £36,500
Location: Biggleswade
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours a week
Responsibilities of theAccounts Assistant
*Process purchase ledger invoices
*Manage credit control activities
*Allocate customer remittances
*Daily bank reconciliations
*Resolve invoice queries
*Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns
*Assist with month-end and year-end
*Assist with internal and external audit requirements
*Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
*Liaise with internal departments to respond to finance queries and provide administrative support
Requirements for a successful Accounts Assistant
* Strong data entry and organisational skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Confident using Microsoft Excel and other finance systems
* Excellent communication skills
*Able to manage workload efficiently and work independently when required
