Location: Southampton and surrounding areas
Pay: £13.53 per hour + 40p per mile
Hours: Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
Shifts: Long and short shifts available ( between 07:00 - 22:00)
Driving Licence: Essential
The Role
Our client is currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to support individuals living within their own homes across Southampton and surrounding areas, including Eastleigh, Fair Oak, Hamble, Hedge End, Romsey, Bishopstoke, Botley, Chandler’s Ford, Netley, West End and nearby areas.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping people maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life whilst remaining in the comfort of their own homes. You will primarily be supporting elderly individuals, including those living with dementia, as well as people requiring more complex care such as PEG feeding and catheter care.
Essential Requirements:
*Full UK driving licence.
*Access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
*Compassionate, caring and professional approach.
*Good communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Flexible and reliable approach to working shifts.
*No previous care experience required - full training provided.
*Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
Key Responsibilities:
*Providing personal care and support with daily living activities.
*Supporting individuals with medication administration where trained to do so.
*Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition and hydration.
*Providing companionship and emotional support
*Supporting individuals living with dementia and other age-related conditions.
*Delivering care to individuals with complex needs including PEG feeding and catheter care following training.
*Promoting independence whilst ensuring the safety and wellbeing of those you support.
*Maintaining accurate care records and reporting any concerns appropriately.

Desirable Experience
*Previous experience within Health & Social Care.
