Job Description:
Full job descriptionOur client based in Maidenhead requires an experienced PR and Communications Manager to join them on a 6 month temporary basis. The position will be full time 37 hours per week working Wednesday and Thursdays in the office. For the handover period it is essential that the successful applicant is able to attend the office 4 days per week.
Oversee to a high standard of quality and consistency :-
*All internal communications (including blogs, briefings, bulletins & general updates) using technical design, graphics, video and audio to optimal effect in terms of user experience
*Lead on all external communications (including key corporate publications, videos, newsletters, mailouts, letters & general communications including email content) using technical design, graphics, video and audio to optimal effect
*Implement an effective Communications Strategy and plan to drive values and core purpose
*Implement an effective social media strategy in line with the Communications Strategy and plan, remaining current with emerging trends and evolving platforms and increasing followers and NPS scores through use of social media and trend analytics
*Support the organisations channel shift in line with the digital engagement strategies, advising colleagues on optimal take-up
*Partnering with internal stakeholders to drive forward the digital agenda and support achievement of our Digital Strategy in relation to residents and colleague services, measuring & improving click-through on digital content.
*Implement multi-channel internal campaigns, activities and events that achieve demonstrable results and promote behaviour change amongst colleagues * Support emergency communications in line with business continuity planning.
*Plan external communications campaigns and stakeholder events with effective analysis & outcomes
*Promote and develop the external reputation locally, regionally and nationally.
*Develop and maintain a suite of literature that is consistent in style and content
*Ongoing evaluation, development, design and coordination of website and other digital assets, identifying relevant performance trends and monitoring / tracking usage
*Procuring and managing external suppliers in the provision of communication and brand services
Media & public relations :
*Deliver a unified, proactive media strategy engaging local and national media channels in raising company profile through media engagement activity and thought leadership campaigns;
PR & reputation management;
*Proactively handling media enquiries and drafting press releases / statements;
*Leading on management of difficult messages to external audiences
*Taking on other duties commensurate with the role as directed/delegated from time to time
We are looking for someone with PR and Communications experience ideally in a non for profit or charity organisation. You must also have experience of using Mail chimp and Adobe Suite.
