You will be working in the Infrastructure OU based in Wolverhampton in where we are responsible for bringing design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide - combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.
We are currently looking for a Waste and Resources Manager who will provide guidance on waste, excavated materials and contaminated land requirements.
As the Waste and Resources Manager, you will:
*Provide advice, support and assistance to all project personnel to enable them to manage their waste management, excavated materials and contaminated land responsibilities.
*Conduct internal and external waste Duty of Care audits and inspections.
*Manage/maintain waste related authorisations for relevant projects.
*Deliver targeted waste and materials training.
*Identify, communicate and mitigate waste, materials and contaminated land risks.
*Develop and manage project Materials Management Plans, Sampling Plans, Resource Management Plans and Site Waste Management Plans.
*Manage specialists, consultants and suppliers to develop management plans and discharge materials and waste commitments and requirements.
We are looking for:
*Degree level in appropriate Waste, Sustainability or Environmental discipline or relevant experience.
*Chartered Resources & Waste Manager (CRWM / MCIWM).
*Working towards CL:AIRE DoWCoP Qualified Person status.
*Values driven and passionate about waste and resource management, the circular economy or contaminated land.
*Previous construction industry experience or relevant waste or contaminated land experience in a similar sector.
*Able to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences.
*Full driving licence and willingness to travel across projects.
