Responsible for driving business growth across the UK, Ireland, and other assigned markets by identifying, developing, and securing new sales opportunities within the power and energy sector.
The role focuses on building strategic relationships with key customers including TSOs, DNOs, BESS developers, data centre operators, EPC contractors, and utilities.
The Sales Manager will lead customer engagement activities, support tendering and bid management processes, develop sales strategies, and achieve company sales targets while contributing to long-term market expansion and customer satisfaction.
Essential Experience
Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or key account management within the power transmission, distribution, renewable energy, or infrastructure sectors.
Strong network and understanding of TSOs, DNOs, BESS developers, data centre operators, utilities, EPC contractors, and related stakeholders in the UK and Ireland markets.
Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities. Experience managing pre-qualification, vendor registration, and tender submission processes.
Ability to review and interpret commercial and technical tender documentation. Strong commercial awareness and bid strategy development skills. Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Experience using CRM systems and sales pipeline management tools. Ability to analyse market trends, competitor activities, and project pipelines.
Self-motivated with strong organisational and time management skills.
Willingness to travel across the UK, Ireland, and other markets as required. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline preferred.
Knowledge of high-voltage transmission, substations, grid infrastructure, renewable energy, or electrical engineering solutions is highly desirable.
