Are you a commercially driven sales or procurement professional who enjoys building strategic client relationships, negotiating with suppliers and delivering measurable commercial value?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Manager to join its growing commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a portfolio of key clients, driving commercial performance through strategic sourcing, supplier engagement and innovative commercial solutions.
Offering a salary of £50,000, a 10–20% discretionary bonus, hybrid working and the opportunity to influence commercial strategy across a diverse customer base, this is an ideal role for someone looking to take the next step in their commercial career.
The Role
Working closely with senior commercial leaders, you’ll take ownership of delivering commercial value across an established portfolio of clients. You’ll lead strategic sourcing and tender activity, negotiate with suppliers, identify opportunities to improve commercial performance and build long-term client partnerships.
This is a varied role that combines commercial sales, procurement, account management and business development, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine impact on both client success and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
*Develop and implement commercial strategies across a portfolio of key client accounts.
*Lead strategic sourcing and tender activities from initial analysis through to supplier selection, negotiation and implementation.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers and key stakeholders.
*Deliver commercial reviews that demonstrate value and identify opportunities for growth.
*Negotiate supplier agreements and maximise commercial returns.
*Identify opportunities to optimise supplier performance and commercial frameworks.
*Support account growth through collaboration with sales and business development teams.
*Work closely with Finance, Marketing and Operational teams to deliver integrated commercial initiatives.
*Analyse commercial data and market trends to identify risks, opportunities and performance improvements.
*Produce meaningful commercial reporting and insights for internal and external stakeholders.
About You
We’re looking for a commercially minded professional with experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, commercial sales or category management.
You’ll ideally have:
*A proven track record of delivering commercial growth and profitability.
*Experience managing supplier relationships and commercial negotiations.
*Knowledge of food, retail, hospitality or related supply chains.
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial data and identify opportunities.
*Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
*A proactive, commercially focused mindset with strong negotiation skills.
