Nenebrook Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a dynamic and rapidly expanding SME based in South Leicestershire in the recruitment of an Assistant Accountant.
With ambitious growth plans and a future IPO on the horizon, this is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking business at a pivotal stage in its development. Working closely alongside the Head of Finance, you will gain broad exposure across all aspects of the finance function while playing a key role in supporting the business’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities*Purchase Ledger management
*Sales Ledger processing
*General Ledger maintenance
*Credit Control
*Cash and Banking administration
*Payment processing and reconciliations
*Assisting with payroll duties
*Supporting the Head of Finance with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
*Providing additional support across the wider business when required
About YouThe ideal candidate will:
*Be studying towards or qualified in AAT, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent)
*Have a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience within a similar accounts position
*Possess strong double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliation skills
*Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
*Enjoy working within a busy SME environment
*Be flexible and willing to take a hands-on approach across both finance and administrative tasks
