Immediate Start | Monday to Friday | Ongoing Opportunity
Are you an experienced Caretaker looking for a rewarding role within education? We’re recruiting for a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to support a group of schools across Plymouth, covering a long-term sickness absence with the potential for ongoing work.

*Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm

The RoleAs a School Caretaker, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the school sites, including:
*Carrying out general porterage duties
*Completing basic repairs and maintenance
*Tidying playgrounds and external areas
*Emptying bins and maintaining cleanliness across the sites
*Painting and decorating during school holidays
*Liaising with contractors attending site
*Carrying out statutory compliance checks
*Opening school buildings each morning
*Ensuring the sites remain safe and well-presented at all times
What We’re Looking ForTo be successful, you’ll have:
*Previous experience working as a School Caretaker or in a similar facilities or maintenance role
*Experience carrying out statutory building compliance checks
*Good practical maintenance and repair skills
*A proactive and organised approach
*Excellent communication skills when dealing with contractors and school staff
*A full Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
*Full compliance and right to work documentation
*A full UK driving licence would be advantageous due to travelling between sites
