Full job descriptionWe are proud to be supporting a large Housing charity that has been selected to lead a partnership to deliver the Government’s VALOUR programme, supporting veterans in the South West.
This Housing Advice position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, operating from a drop-in centre in Salisbury (no driver required). The job will start on an initial temporary basis, and there will be the opportunity to take on a permanent role if agreeable.
Hourly rates are between £19.00 - £20.00 per hour and experience of providing housing-related advice would be strongly desired.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
*Provide housing-related advice and guidance to veterans and their families through a drop-in service, supporting with homelessness prevention, tenancy issues, housing applications, affordability concerns and access to accommodation options
*Complete housing assessments and develop person-centred action plans, helping individuals to identify suitable housing solutions and achieve sustainable housing outcomes
*Support clients to access statutory and community services, including local authority housing teams, welfare benefits, debt advice, health services and specialist veterans’ support organisations
*Maintain accurate records and work collaboratively with partner agencies, landlords and support services to deliver effective interventions and ensure a responsive and accessible drop-in service
Please note an Enhanced DBS would be required for this role.
Experience required:
*Providing tenancy sustainment or homelessness prevention advice, and safeguarding
Working hours:
*37.5 hours per week
*Monday-Friday 09:00AM-17:00PM
