Job Description:
Full job descriptionA leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Poole is seeking a talented and ambitious Audit Assistant Manager to join a well-structured and highly regarded audit team, and we are pleased to be supporting them in finding the right individual for a role that combines real management responsibility with a varied and interesting client portfolio and a firm that is genuinely committed to the development and progression of its people, with flexible working, a company pension, and much more on offer.
Crowe Watson Recruitment has a strong and well-established presence across the South Coast accountancy market, and the team brings a genuine understanding of the audit landscape in Poole and the wider Dorset region to every search it undertakes. Candidates who work with Crowe Watson consistently value the quality and honesty of the advice they receive, and the care taken to ensure that any opportunity presented is genuinely the right fit rather than simply the next available vacancy. That considered and personal approach is what sets Crowe Watson apart in this market.
As Audit Assistant Manager, you will take an increasingly central role in the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services across a varied and interesting portfolio of clients, supporting partners and managers on more complex assignments whilst taking real ownership of client relationships and the day-to-day development of the junior members of the team. Poole has a diverse and well-established commercial community, and the firm’s client base reflects that well, offering genuine technical variety and a breadth of sector exposure that will keep the work consistently engaging. There is a clear and well-supported pathway to manager level for the right individual, within a team that is technically strong, collaborative, and genuinely enjoyable to be part of. You might not meet all the criteria, but if you are passionate about developing yourself and your career, we’d love to hear from you.
Crowe Watson is acting as an Employment Agency. References to pay rates are indicative and salary is dependent on experience.
Please note that Crowe Watson Recruitment is unable to assist with sponsorship applications; all candidates must have the right to work in the UK without restriction.
Key Responsibilities*Leading and reviewing audit assignments across a varied client portfolio to the highest technical standards
*Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships with confidence and professionalism

*Ensuring all assignments are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard
*Contributing to business development activity and identifying opportunities to grow the firm’s audit portfolio

*Well organised with a proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
