Suffolk | 3-6 Month Contract | Day Rate / Fixed-Term Considered
NXTGEN are working exclusively with a well-established business seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to provide immediate leadership to the finance function during a critical period.
This isn’t a role where you’ll simply keep the seat warm. You’ll be joining at a key point in the financial calendar, taking ownership of the year-end process, leading the external audit and ensuring the finance function continues to operate effectively while longer-term plans are put in place.
We’re looking for someone who has been there before. Someone who can quickly understand a business, build credibility with stakeholders and deliver without requiring months to get up to speed.
The Role
You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day finance function whilst leading several business-critical priorities, including:
*Leading the year-end close and managing the external audit from planning through to completion.
*Acting as the main point of contact for auditors, ensuring information is delivered accurately and on time.
*Reviewing financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory reporting requirements.
*Supporting and mentoring the finance team, providing clear direction during a busy period.
*Working closely with senior leadership, providing financial insight and ensuring key deadlines are achieved.
*Identifying opportunities to improve processes and strengthen financial controls where appropriate.
*Supporting wider finance projects as required.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced Financial Controller who can hit the ground running.
You’ll ideally be:
*ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
*An experienced Interim Financial Controller Professional with previous responsibility for leading external audits.
*Confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
*Comfortable working with senior stakeholders across the business.
*Hands-on, commercially minded and happy to roll your sleeves up when required.
*Available to start at short notice or within the coming weeks.
*Experience within SAAS would be a great advantage
*Previous experience stepping into businesses during periods of change, supporting year-end or stabilising finance functions would be highly advantageous.
