Job Description:
Full job descriptionAre you an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator with 5-axis machining skills and the ability to write or modify Fanuc or Haas programs This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established precision engineering company producing high-quality components for demanding industries. The successful CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator will play a key role in delivering quality, efficiency and continuous improvement within a supportive manufacturing team.
The Role
*Set, program and operate 4 and 5 axis CNC machining centres.
*Write, edit and optimise Fanuc and Haas programs.
*Read and interpret engineering drawings to produce components to specification.
*Inspect your own work using micrometers, verniers and other measuring equipment.
*Adjust wear offsets to maintain quality and cycle times.
*Deburr and assemble components where required.
*Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
*Support continuous improvement and work collaboratively with colleagues.
Skills & Experience
*Proven experience as a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator.
*Strong knowledge of 4th and 5th axis machining.
*Ability to write and modify Fanuc and Haas programs.
*CAD/CAM experience is advantageous but not essential.
*Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO9001 quality standards.
*Confident using precision inspection equipment.
*Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
*Eligible to work in the UK.
