Full job descriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Estimator based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis.
Summary of the Construction Estimator role
Salary: £60,000
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8.30am-5pm, Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
Responsibilities of theConstruction Estimator
*Prepare cost estimates, tender pricing and bid submissions
*Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation
*Obtain and analyse quotations
*Quantity take-offs and cost analysis
*Highlight potential risks
*Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
*Support project handovers
Requirements for a successful Construction Estimator
* Previous experience in estimating within commercial/industrial construction
*Solid knowledge of construction methods and materials
*Competence in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
*Strong numerical ability alongside analytical and communication skills
*Skilled in Microsoft Office and relevant estimating software
*Capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
