Full job descriptionSocial Worker – Locality Team – Westmoreland and Furness Council
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Pay: £45 per hour
Office Working: 3 Days per week
Contract: Locum
We are currently working with Westmoreland and Furness Council to find two experienced Social Workers for their Assessment and Safeguarding team in Children’s Services. With a stable management team and a mostly permanent workforce, Westmoreland are looking for someone with solid experience to be able to pick up a caseload and support their service.
Duties
*Completing Section 47’s and section 17 enquiries
*Supporting with the duty rota
*Undertake Section 7and 37 reports, as well as attending Court, and providing analysis and evidence-based recommendations
*Long term engagement with families, including direct work, capturing the voice of the child
*Write conference reports and attend conferences, such as Core Group Meetings
What you need
*Social Work Qualification
*Social Work England registration
*Enhanced DBS (provided by us)
