Full job descriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a successful international manufacturer supplying specialist products across the industrial and marine sectors.
This is a varied role combining new business development, account management and distributor management, offering the opportunity to play a key role in the company’s continued growth across the UK and Europe.
The Role
Reporting to the European Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while managing and growing an existing portfolio of customers and distributors.
Key responsibilities include:
*Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
*Managing and developing existing customer accounts.
*Supporting and growing distributor networks.
*Building strong relationships with OEM and key customers.
*Providing technical and commercial support following product training.
*Attending customer meetings, trade exhibitions and industry events across the UK and Europe.
Regular UK travel is required, with occasional European travel and overnight stays.
About You
We’re looking for a commercially minded sales professional with:
*Proven experience inBusiness Development, B2B Sales or Technical Sales.
*A strong track record of winning new business and developing existing accounts.
*Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
*Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach.
*Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
*A full UK driving licence.
Experience within manufacturing, engineering or technical products is advantageous, although marine industry experience is not essential.
