Full job descriptionHarper May is working with a founder-led technology business that has scaled to around 80 people over the past five years. The company builds SaaS tools for the professional services sector and is backed by experienced angel investors. Growth has been steady and disciplined, but the finance function has not kept pace with operational complexity. The leadership team recognises that better cost visibility and month-to-month insight will be critical as the business enters its next phase. They are now seeking a Management Accountant to build robust reporting and support informed decision-making across the organisation.
The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will own the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts, working across product, customer success, and operations to translate financial data into actionable insight. This is a hands-on role with real influence over how the business understands its financial position and performance.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare and present monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis and narrative explanation
*Build and maintain financial forecasts and cash flow projections
*Support the annual budgeting process and track performance against plan
*Work with operational teams to identify cost drivers, inefficiencies, and opportunities
*Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure month-end close runs smoothly
*Develop and maintain financial models and reporting dashboards
*Assist with external audit and statutory reporting
What we are looking for
*CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified or part-qualified
*Experience in a growth-stage or technology business
*Strong commercial mindset with ability to communicate financial ideas to non-finance audiences
*Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling
*Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable with change and ambiguity
