Job Description:
Full job descriptionThe Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and dispatching field technicians to ensure work is delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with customer expectations. The role acts as the link between customers, technicians, planners, and operations, ensuring schedules are accurate, capacity is optimised, and work orders are fully prepared for successful execution. The Scheduler contributes directly to forecast delivery, KPI performance, and customer satisfaction.
Salary £28k - £30k DOE
Person / Experience Required
- Experience in scheduling or coordination within a service or field-based environment.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good understanding of capacity planning and workforce utilisation.
- Experience working with work order systems and operational scheduling tools.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers, technicians, planners, and managers.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, up-to-date schedules under changing conditions.
- Use of salesforce or service map
Key Skills Required
- Manage and coordinate schedules for 30 field engineers across two regions, ensuring efficient allocation of work.
- Contact customers to arrange appointments and dispatch engineers based on operational priorities.
- Schedule work in line with capacity, forecast demand, and customer requirements.
- Monitor engineer availability, including holidays, training, sickness, and workload changes.
- Ensure engineers receive accurate job details, site information, and work order updates.
- Support KPI performance and customer satisfaction through effective scheduling and communication.
- Manage apprentice schedules, allocating work in line with training and development requirements.
