Are you an experienced Bid or Proposals professional looking to take the next step in your career with one of the UK’s leading commercial refurbishment and fit-out contractors?
Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, our client is seeking a Proposals / Bid Manager to join their successful Pre-Construction team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the production of compelling, high-quality bid submissions that secure prestigious commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects across the UK.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, estimators, design managers, commercial teams and business development professionals, you will be responsible for managing the entire bid process from initial enquiry through to submission, client presentations and interviews.
Location: Croydon
Salary:£45,000 - £60,000 per annum (DOE)
The RoleAs Proposals / Bid Manager, you will take ownership of the company’s work-winning submissions, ensuring every proposal is professionally managed, creatively presented and strategically aligned to maximise success.
This role combines exceptional project management, persuasive writing and creative design skills, making it ideal for an experienced proposals professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively across multiple departments.
We’re looking for an experienced and highly organised Bid or Proposals Manager who combines excellent writing skills with strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple complex submissions simultaneously.
Essential Skills & Experience*Experience within the construction, commercial fit-out, refurbishment, property, architecture or engineering sectors.
*Proven experience managing bids and tender submissions from start to finish.
*Experience developing bid strategies and work-winning initiatives.
*Excellent proposal writing, editing and proof reading skills.
*Previous experience mentoring, coaching or managing junior team members.
*Knowledge of public and private sector procurement processes.
*Stakeholder management
*Strong project management and organisational abilities.
*Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
*Advanced experience using Adobe InDesign and the wider Adobe Creative Suite.
*Ability to prioritise multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
*Confident leading bid meetings and coordinating cross-functional teams.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
