Description
As Category Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of corporate/ processional services indirect spend
You will develop and execute category strategies that deliver measurable value, support business transformation initiatives, and ensure the organisation continues to maximise commercial opportunities within its supply base.
Key Responsibilities
*Develop and implement category strategies that create sustainable value and cost efficiencies.
*Lead end-to-end sourcing, tendering, and contract management activities.
*Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Legal, and Corporate Functions.
*Identify opportunities to optimise spend, reduce costs, and improve supplier performance.
*Lead complex negotiations and manage strategic supplier relationships.
*Support major business initiatives and investment programmes through commercial expertise.
*Contribute to wider procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
*Manage risk, governance, and compliance within your category area.
*Create and maintain a pipeline of sourcing and value-delivery opportunities.
Profile
A successful Category Manager - Professional Services should have: Demonstrated experience in procurement and category management within professional services- HR corporate services.
We’re looking for a commercially driven procurement professional who can operate confidently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
*Proven experience in Procurement and Category Management.
*Strong background managing indirect spend categories.
*Experience developing and delivering category strategies.
*Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
*Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and deliver value.
*Experience managing complex sourcing projects and contract negotiations.
*Ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders and suppliers.
*Highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver at pace.
