Full job descriptionElevation Recruitment Group are supporting a leading aerospace manufacturer in Sheffield as they look to recruit an experienced Quality Engineer on an 18-month fixed-term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering business with a strong reputation for quality and innovation. Working as part of a collaborative quality team, you’ll play a key role in supporting customers, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring products meet the highest industry standards.
What you’ll be doing:*Managing customer quality requirements and acting as a key quality contact.
*Investigating non-conformances using structured root cause analysis tools such as 8D and 5 Whys.
*Supporting internal, customer and third-party audits.
*Driving continuous improvement activities to reduce defects and improve processes.
*Reviewing quality data, analysing trends and implementing corrective actions.
*Supporting new product introductions, including APQP, PPAP and FAIR activities where required.
*Working closely with production, engineering, suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues.
*Ensuring compliance with AS9100 and customer-specific requirements.
We’re looking for:*Previous experience in a Quality Engineer role within aerospace or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
*Good understanding of quality management systems, ideally AS9100.
*Experience of customer-facing quality activities.
*Strong problem-solving skills with experience of quality tools such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis and FMEA.
*Internal auditing experience would be advantageous.
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
