Full job descriptionSenior Finance Assistant | Fast Growth Global Creative Studio | London
Harmonic are delighted to be working with an international, fast growth design studio on the search for their next Senior Finance Assistant. Creating and curating bespoke artworks, installations, and schemes for their clients using art as a vehicle for storytelling and brand expression, this business is a mix of the world’s leading developers, brands, architects and designers.
The Business:
This innovative creative studio specialises in transforming workplaces, public spaces and branded environments through the integration of art, environmental graphics, storytelling and experiential design. Working with a diverse portfolio of global clients, the business delivers end-to-end creative solutions, from concept development and strategy through to design, production and installation. Its multidisciplinary team combines creativity with technical expertise to create engaging spaces that strengthen culture, enhance brand identity and foster meaningful human connection. As a certified B Corp, our client also put their values at the forefront of their work, both internally and externally.
With an established international presence and a collaborative, people-first culture, the organisation is recognised for delivering high-quality, design-led projects across commercial, cultural and public sectors. With headcount at 30, there is also still a tight knit, creative culture in place.

Working in partnership with the Financial Controller and Studio Manager, you will turn client and project activity into accurate financial records, and financial information back into decisions the wider business can act on. This is a role with room to grow with future promotion opportunities on offer as you develop, with scope to take on greater ownership of reporting, process improvement and month-end close.
Duties:
*Own both the AP & AR functions
*Prepare and set up payment runs
*Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments
*Maintain and update the fixed asset register
*Perform bank reconciliations
*Contribute to balance sheet review, preparing supporting schedules for the Financial Controller
*Support VAT return preparation
*Support the year-end audit process by preparing requested schedules and documentation.
*Maintain accurate project accounting records, working with Project Managers to ensure figures are reconciled
*Meet with Project Managers bi-weekly to review project financial performance, discussing forecast accuracy and flagging any variances between forecast and actual figures.
*Contribute to monthly management reporting, pulling together financial summaries for review by the Financial Controller.
What we need to see (essential):

*Studying for accounting qualifications (AAT / CIMA / ACCA)
What we’d like to see (bonus):

Location:
