Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day?
Academics are working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Ashford that is seeking dedicated a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils on a 1:1 basis, helping children with Special Educational Needs to thrive both academically and socially.
The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, with a particular focus on Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You will play a key role in delivering personalised support, building positive relationships, and helping pupils access learning in a nurturing environment.
The Role*Full-time, Monday to Friday
*September start
*Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEN
*Supporting children with ASC and SLCN
*Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored interventions
*Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning
The Ideal Candidate*Has previous Teaching Assistant or SEN experience (experience supporting pupils with ASC is highly desirable)
*Is patient, caring, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs
*Holds an Enhanced DBS, or is happy to apply for one
*Is available to work five days per week
*Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
*Is reliable, proactive, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential
