We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Despatch Assistant to join a well-established manufacturer of premium bespoke furniture. If you’re hands-on, take pride in your work and enjoy being part of a close-knit team, this could be the perfect opportunity.
This varied role combines warehouse duties, quality checking and occasional customer deliveries, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of responsibilities and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.
Key responsibilities of the Despatch Assistant
*Inspecting finished furniture and panels before despatch.
*Carefully wrapping and preparing products for delivery.
*Loading vehicles safely and efficiently.
*Reading work instructions and technical drawings.
*Assisting with deliveries to customers’ homes when required.
*Maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.
*Working independently while supporting the wider production team.
What we’re looking for
*Excellent attention to detail.
*A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude.
*Ability to work with minimal supervision.
*Comfortable with manual handling and physical work.
*Able to read work instructions and technical drawings.
*Flexibility to work overtime when available.
*A full UK driving licence is desirable for occasional delivery support.
