Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00am - 16:30pm
Rate: £18.00 - £22.00 per hour (CIS)
Contract: Temporary/Ongoing
Job Overview
We are currently seeking experienced Electricians to work on a project at HMP Ranby. This role will involve carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, upgrades, and testing works within a secure prison environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical work while adhering to strict health and safety procedures and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
*Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
*Testing, inspection, and fault-finding of electrical installations.
*Installation of containment systems, wiring, lighting, and associated electrical components.
*Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.
*Ensuring all work is completed to current industry regulations and standards.
*Maintaining accurate records of work completed.
*Working safely and professionally within a secure prison environment.
*Liaising with site management and other trades as required.
Essential Requirements
*NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
*18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
*ECS/JIB Gold Card or equivalent.
*Previous experience in commercial or industrial electrical installations.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
*Own tools and PPE.
Desirable Requirements
*Previous experience working within prisons, secure facilities, or government sites.
*TEL1 clearance
*Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent).
*Security clearance or ability to pass prison vetting procedures.
*Full UK Driving Licence.
