Rapier Employment are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join one of the UK’s leading supermarket distribution operations based in Erith and Dartford.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, full-time work with a nationally recognised logistics provider, offering excellent pay rates, paid breaks, modern vehicles and long-term career opportunities.

Pay & Benefits
*Days: £20.00 per hour
*Mid Shift / Backs: £20.75 per hour
*Nights: £22.93 per hour
*Overtime: Up to £26.63 per hour
*Enhanced rates after 12 weeks – up to £53.22 per hour
*All breaks fully paid

The Role
You’ll be delivering chilled and ambient products to a major UK supermarket network using modern, well-maintained Class 1 vehicles.
Duties include:
*Store deliveries and trunking work
*Operating safely and professionally at all times
*Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
*Working within a busy 24/7 distribution operation
*Minimal manual handling
Shift Information
Flexible shifts available across a 7-day operation (including weekends).
Start Times
*AM: 03:00 – 08:00
*PM: 17:00 – 02:00
Shift Length
*Typically 9–15 hours
What We’re Looking For
*Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
*Valid Driver CPC (DQC)
*Digital Tachograph Card
*Minimum 6 months’ Class 1 driving experience
*Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, CD or IN endorsements)
*Right to work in the UK
*Professional, reliable and safety-focused attitude
Assessment Process
Before starting, you’ll complete:
*Theory test
*Yard manoeuvre assessment
*On-road driving assessment
