Location: Southampton
Pay Rate: £16.30 per hour
Start Times: Between 5:00am and 7:00am
Average Shift: Approximately 10 hours
Job Type: Ongoing temporary work
Positions Available: 6
Induction Time: 7:00am
We are recruiting Class 2 Drivers for ongoing multidrop delivery work based in Southampton.
The role involves delivering alcohol to commercial customers across a planned route. Drivers will work alongside a Driver’s Mate, who will assist with deliveries, unloading and customer interaction.
This is a physically active role involving regular manual handling, so applicants must be comfortable lifting and moving cases and kegs throughout the shift.
Main Duties
*Completing multidrop deliveries to licensed premises and commercial customers
*Driving a Class 2 rigid vehicle safely and professionally
*Working alongside a Driver’s Mate
*Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries
*Handling alcohol products, including cases and kegs
*Completing delivery paperwork and using handheld devices where required
*Carrying out daily vehicle checks
*Providing a professional service to customers
*Following all driver-hours, working-time and road-safety regulations
Driver Requirements
*Valid UK Category C / Class 2 driving licence
*Valid Driver CPC qualification
*Valid Digital Tachograph Card
*Maximum of six penalty points
*No DR or IN conviction codes
*Comfortable with multidrop work and manual handling
*Reliable, punctual and customer focused
Newly qualified Class 2 Drivers are welcome to apply, provided they meet the licence and compliance requirements.
Successful applicants will be required to attend a 7:00am induction before starting the assignment. Induction dates can be arranged around driver availability.
