Vehicle: 18-tonne rigid lorry
We are recruiting an experienced Class 2 Driver for a straightforward driving position based in Woolwich.
The role involves completing one scheduled run per day from Woolwich to Haverhill and back. A significant part of the working day will involve waiting while the vehicle is loaded and unloaded at both locations, making this a relatively simple and manageable driving role.
Main Duties
*Driving an 18-tonne rigid vehicle
*Completing one daily run from Woolwich to Haverhill and returning to Woolwich
*Waiting while the vehicle is loaded and unloaded at both sites
*Completing the required vehicle and delivery paperwork
*Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
*Ensuring all driving and working-time regulations are followed
*Maintaining professional communication with site teams
Driver Requirements
*Valid UK Category C / Class 2 driving licence
*Valid Driver CPC qualification
*Valid Digital Tachograph Card
*Previous experience driving an 18-tonne or similar rigid vehicle
*Good understanding of driver-hours and working-time regulations
*Reliable, professional and punctual
*Comfortable completing basic paperwork
A FORS Bridge Training Certificate would be beneficial, although this is not essential at the initial stage.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a driver seeking a stable, straightforward role with minimal multidrop work and no complex delivery schedule.
