Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be supporting a growing manufacturing business in Dudley that is looking to recruit a Senior Buyer to join their team.


Working Hours / Benefits:
*Full-time, Monday to Friday (Flexi time)
*25 days annual leave plus stats

Senior Buyer duties:
*Assessing current procurement and planning practices, identifying gaps against best practice, and designing the processes, controls and documentation the division needs
*Leading the shift from manual, informal ways of working to structured, repeatable processes
*Developing and managing strategic supplier partnerships and leading category negotiations
*Taking hands-on ownership of procurement and inventory management, working closely with operations
*Owning supply and demand planning, building and maintaining manual planning tools such as reorder points, Kanban and spreadsheet-based plans
*Managing supplier performance through regular reviews, challenging on delivery, quality and execution
*Identifying cost savings and formulating annual plans for designated spend categories
The Person
*Significant experience across purchasing and supply chain within a manufacturing environment
*Strong working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems, with substantial hands-on experience in manual supply and demand planning
*Advanced Excel skills
