Location: Rochdale
Hours: Part Time – 3 days per week, 8:30am–5:00pm
Additional days may be required depending on workload
Pay Rate: £22.00 per hour (CIS)
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Handyman/ Property Maintenance to join our client, a leading Build to Rent residential accommodation provider based in Rochdale. This is a part-time position offering competitive pay and ongoing work.
Property Maintenance – Job Description
The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of general maintenance and repair duties, including:
*Inspecting rooms and communal areas and reporting maintenance issues that cannot be fixed by yourself
*Preparing rooms and apartments for new tenants
*General handyman and reactive maintenance tasks
*Repairing toilet leaks, tap leaks, and minor plumbing issues
*Repairing and replacing shower heads
*Basic joinery, including undercutting doors and assembling furniture
*Silicone sealing in bathrooms and kitchens
*Basic Electrical Work – Changing sockets and switches
*Fault finding and carrying out basic repairs
*Completing flush downs
*Moving furniture, including beds, mattresses, and other items
*Accurately reporting defects in a timely manner
*Supporting the wider maintenance team as required
Property Maintenance – Requirements
*Proven experience as a Handyman or Maintenance Operative
*Experience within property management, Build to Rent, student accommodation, or hospitality is desirable
*Multi-skilled with a practical, hands-on approach
*Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
*Available for an immediate start
