A top 10 firm is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to join its Cambridge office. In this role, you will lead the delivery of personal tax services, manage client portfolios, and ensure compliance with UK tax regulations. You will provide expert advice on complex tax planning, oversee junior team members, and develop strong client relationships. Your work will directly contribute to delivering exceptional client service and supporting the growth of the practice.
Role Responsibilities
*Lead the preparation and review of complex private client tax returns.
*Manage a diverse portfolio of clients with complex needs, maintaining excellent client relationships.
*Provide expert advice on personal tax planning and compliance.
*Supervise, mentor, and delegate work to junior team members, ensuring high-quality output.
*Review and approve final tax packs and correspondence before issuing to clients.
*Monitor workflow, WIP, and fee recovery to ensure efficiency and profitability.
*Support business development activities, including proposals, fee quotes, and client tenders.
*Champion the use of new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and service quality.
*Actively contribute to departmental development initiatives and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.
Personal Requirements
*Qualified or part-qualified accountant or tax professional (ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent experience).
*Strong client focus with the ability to understand client objectives and provide clear guidance to colleagues.
*Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
*Committed to developing team members and fostering a collaborative working environment.
*Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work.
