Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 base salary

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off | Permanent Nights

As production continues to grow, they’re now looking to appoint an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to become a key member of their night engineering team.

The OpportunityWorking across a modern manufacturing facility, you’ll take ownership of engineering activities throughout the night shift, ensuring production equipment and site services continue to operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
You’ll play a key role in reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability and identifying opportunities to enhance manufacturing performance through continuous improvement initiatives.
This is far more than a reactive maintenance position. You’ll be encouraged to influence engineering improvements, support new equipment installations and contribute ideas that positively impact efficiency, reliability and operational performance.
What You’ll Be Doing*Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across manufacturing and production equipment.
*Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults quickly to minimise downtime.
*Supporting production by responding to breakdowns and restoring equipment safely and efficiently.
*Driving preventative maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability.
*Identifying recurring faults and implementing permanent engineering solutions.
*Supporting continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, reliability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
*Assisting with the installation, commissioning and optimisation of new machinery.
*Working closely with Production and Operations teams to improve manufacturing performance.
*Maintaining accurate maintenance records through the CMMS system.
*Ensuring engineering activities are completed in line with Health & Safety, food safety and statutory compliance requirements.
About YouYou’ll be an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong background within food, drink or FMCG manufacturing.
You enjoy fault-finding, thrive in a fast-moving production environment and take pride in keeping equipment performing at its very best.
We’re particularly interested in engineers who can bring:
*Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
*Experience carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance.
*Knowledge of automated manufacturing and production equipment.
*A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
*The confidence to make decisions and prioritise engineering activities during night shifts.
*Engineering qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent.
*Previous experience within food or beverage manufacturing would be highly advantageous.
